Enjoying 18 holes\, the golfers participated in contests along the way including an unexpected challenge to make contact with the ball while peering through the altered reality of beer goggles provided by the sponsor SSI. Back on the practice putting green\, clinic participants honed their putting and chipping skills through a number of exercises and devices provided by Mike Andrusin\, a PGA Teaching Professional. \nScholarship Recipients\nThis year our four scholarship award winners came from New Jersey Institute of Technology\, Rutgers\, The State University of New Jersey\, Stevens Institute of Technology and Seton Hall University. Each took some time to speak to us about their achievement’s and goals. Each of the four received a $2\,500 scholarship award. \nGrant Recipient\nThis year’s Primary Beneficiary was Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern New Jersey. Thanks to our members\, their guests\, and our sponsors\, we were able to present them with a check of $20\,000. \nLori Konya\, the CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern New Jersey\, spoke to us about the numerous programs they offer to guide at-risk youths\, including corporate partnerships introducing young people to the ways of the working world as well as the STEM initiative\, which the Golf Outing proceeds will support. \nGolf Contest Winners\nThe evening wrapped up with awards to the contest winners.\nLowest score: 1st Place (score of 63 (-9)) – Mark Farbman\, Andrew Laskowski\, Ron Seibert\, Jeff Turnagw\nLowest score: 2nd Place (score of 64 (-8)) – Anthony Curlo\, David Sprong\, Len Carella\nLongest Drive – Mark Farbman\nStraightest Drive – Jim Blottman 6’\nClosest to the Pin – Mark Farbman 3’ 11” \n  \nOur Sponsors\nFinally\, and very importantly\, we extend a heart-felt Thank You! to all our sponsors.
