Teams using new optimized business process workflows that have a greater accessibility to data across the enterprise\, can make better\, faster and more informed business decisions that affect their bottom-line. \nBusiness process workflows have become increasingly more complex. Understanding what the benefits are when you “digitize” them is key. It’s been said that you should ask the question first and then see if you have the data to answer it. The same goes with digital transformation\, ask if by digitizing all or part of your workflows\, will you make your business more optimized and efficient or better yet\, does it make you more money? \nThe starting point and the path of project opportunities that follow must be ROI driven. We have all been involved with project programs in the past. The same holds true with the digital transformation journey\, every project has an ROI or don’t do it. We will discuss the investment in digital transformation\, the technologies and culture shift you must have for business value and give you a competitive advantage. \nOn Feb 10th\, Jeff Dymond\, Global CTO\, Industries Edge & IoT will discuss Dell Technologies view on Digital Transformation\, use cases and how to get started. \nThis meeting will be hosted virtually on Zoom. \nAbout our Speaker:\nJeff Dymond\, Global CTO\, Industries Edge & IoT\, Dell Technologies has been in the automation and hardware/software industries for over 35 years. He is currently a Global CTO for Dell Technologies Industries Edge & IoT where Jeff applies OT and IT knowledge to develop IoT use cases and architectures from the field to the cloud. He creates solutions by looking at the business and then applying the solution and architecture in the industry specific context that enables the business value proposition. Jeff has consistently led companies to re-focus on the value of their solutions combined with their business problem that enables them to understand and sustain a competitive advantage. \nJeff started his carrier designing split architecture analog controls. Since then he has worked at major EPC firms as a control system engineer\, Honeywell\, first as a Solution Manager then as the their business unit lead of the Network Design and Installation group\, Aspen Technology as an Application Integration Director\, TIBCO Software as a SOA Architect\, SAP as a NetWeaver Solution Principle\, Microsoft as an SAP Integration Director\, Emerson as an Oil & Gas Business Development Manager\, and at DAQRI as the Sr. Director of AR Industrial Solutions before coming to Dell Technologies. \nJeff has worked in several vertical markets including Utilities\, Oil & Gas Upstream\, Mid-Stream\, Refining\, Chemical\, CPG\, Food Beverage\, Life Sciences\, Digital Cities & Smart Buildings\, Pulp and Paper and Power Gen.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” column_margin=”default” column_direction=”default” column_direction_tablet=”default” column_direction_phone=”default” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” row_border_radius=”none” row_border_radius_applies=”bg” overlay_strength=”0.3″ gradient_direction=”left_to_right” shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_tablet=”inherit” column_padding_phone=”inherit” column_padding_position=”all” column_element_spacing=”default” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” column_link_target=”_self” gradient_direction=”left_to_right” overlay_strength=”0.3″ width=”1/1″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” bg_image_animation=”none” border_type=”simple” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_custom_heading text=”” font_container=”tag:h2|text_align:left|color:%23005b94″ use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text]\nAgenda\n5:00     Business Meeting\n5:15     Presentation & Q&A\n6:15     Networking[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” column_margin=”default” column_direction=”default” column_direction_tablet=”default” column_direction_phone=”default” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” row_border_radius=”none” row_border_radius_applies=”bg” overlay_strength=”0.3″ gradient_direction=”left_to_right” shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_tablet=”inherit” column_padding_phone=”inherit” column_padding_position=”all” column_element_spacing=”default” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” column_link_target=”_self” gradient_direction=”left_to_right” overlay_strength=”0.3″ width=”1/1″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” bg_image_animation=”none” border_type=”simple” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_custom_heading text=”” font_container=”tag:h2|text_align:left|color:%23005b94″ use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

It takes both to win. \nOn January 13th\, we will have In-Person only member discussions on different strategies in the playbooks for Attracting Talent and Retaining Talent\, specifically Competitiveness\, Burnout\, Career Paths and Remote Career Mgmt. \nThe moderators for these discussions — Rich Cigna\, Pasquale Cirullo\, John Erickson\, and Kevin Schwesinger — will rotate from table to table so all members will have an opportunity to discuss each topic. \nRegister today to participate in our inaugural Thinking Out Loud format.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_tablet=”inherit” column_padding_phone=”inherit” column_padding_position=”all” column_element_spacing=”default” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” column_link_target=”_self” gradient_direction=”left_to_right” overlay_strength=”0.3″ width=”1/2″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” bg_image_animation=”none” border_type=”simple” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” column_margin=”default” column_direction=”default” column_direction_tablet=”default” column_direction_phone=”default” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” row_border_radius=”none” row_border_radius_applies=”bg” overlay_strength=”0.3″ gradient_direction=”left_to_right” shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_tablet=”inherit” column_padding_phone=”inherit” column_padding_position=”all” column_element_spacing=”default” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” column_link_target=”_self” gradient_direction=”left_to_right” overlay_strength=”0.3″ width=”1/1″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” bg_image_animation=”none” border_type=”simple” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_custom_heading text=”Time/Schedule” font_container=”tag:h2|text_align:left|color:%23005b94″ use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text]5:00 – 6:15P – Networking\n6:15 – 6:45P – Dinner\n6:45 – 7:00P – Chapter Business\n7:00 – 8:00P – Presentation\n8:00 – 8:30P – Networking[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” column_margin=”default” column_direction=”default” column_direction_tablet=”default” column_direction_phone=”default” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” row_border_radius=”none” row_border_radius_applies=”bg” overlay_strength=”0.3″ gradient_direction=”left_to_right” shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_tablet=”inherit” column_padding_phone=”inherit” column_padding_position=”all” column_element_spacing=”default” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” column_link_target=”_self” gradient_direction=”left_to_right” overlay_strength=”0.3″ width=”1/1″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” bg_image_animation=”none” border_type=”simple” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_custom_heading text=”Cost” font_container=”tag:h2|text_align:left|color:%23005b94″ use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text]Please register for the event below.\nPlease include your full name\, professional title\, with company email in the message. \n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

For larger\, more complex projects over a million dollars the failure rate jumps to 95%. These failures cost US companies roughly $500 Billion each year and ruin both the reputations of IT departments and the career prospects of their leaders. Roughly 75% of these failures happen for one reason. It’s not the technology. It’s not the tech team. It’s because what the business is trying to do is never fully communicated; therefore\, it’s never fully understood. The problem isn’t the way people communicate. It’s the silent void that represents all the things people don’t say. This problem doesn’t start with us (IT)\, but we’re the ones who get blamed. \nDavid Burrill will lead a discussion on the origins of this silence and the implications for how we should be managing project communications\, interacting with our business counterparts\, and positioning ourselves for advancement. \nPlease review one of these resources by David Burrill to prepare for the discussion:\nWhitepaper Link:     https://bridgingbusinessit.com/get-your-copy/\nVideo Recording:     https://bridgingbusinessit.com/2021/09/09/the-silence-is-killing-us-presentation-to-iiba/\nPodcast Link:     https://www.buzzsprout.com/1835883 \nRegister for this candid discussion on Wed\, Nov 17 at 12:00pm.\nAttendance will be capped at 24 so register early \nAbout the Moderator:\nDave Burrill is a senior technology executive (President\, COO\, CIO)\, entrepreneur\, author\, speaker\, board director and advisor. He’s been a management team member of three successful tech companies taking each from co-founding or early stage\, through multiple financing rounds\, and rapid revenue growth to either IPO or acquisition. He’s a trusted advisor and C-Suite peer with the expertise to bridge disciplines from finance and operations to IT. He has over 35 years of technology project management experience leading teams that successfully completed or saved projects for clients ranging from start-ups to Fortune 50. \nBoth professionally and as a volunteer Dave has spent over a decade partnering with educators\, the National Alliance on Mental Illness and healthcare systems across the US to bring enabling technologies to behavioral and population health initiatives. He has collaborated with psychologists and clinicians to author over a dozen articles for various healthcare journals and has co-edited five books on the life lessons of patients and families dealing with mental illness. Influenced by these experiences he has returned to his first interest—information systems—to address the growing disparity between what neuroscience now knows and what business has yet to embrace. \nDave is a former PWC Consultant and CPA\, member of the PMI and Scrum Alliance®\, a PMP and CSM. He’s received awards for his work in SaaS\, advanced analytics and machine learning\, and has been selected to Who’s Who in American Executives & Professionals. But realizing the benefits of anywhere operations is no easy feat.  IT Leaders must contend with a complex\, ever-changing infrastructure and fragmented\, legacy tools designed as point solutions.  Without an accurate\, real-time view of thousands of physical and virtual assets\, users\, and their interdependencies\, the risk of business disruption in fulfilling anywhere operations becomes a real issue. \nTo overcome these challenges and create a more agile\, digital-first operating model\, IT Leaders are turning to an emerging technology\, Digital Platform Conductors.  During this session Paul Deur of ReadyWorks will share examples of how leading organizations like Morgan Stanley\, AMEX GBT\, and Tradeweb are leveraging this new technology for anywhere operations. \nThis meeting will be hosted both In Person at the Madison Hotel\, and Virtually on Zoom. \nAbout our Speaker\nPaul Deur is a lifelong entrepreneur and co-founder and Co-CEO of ReadyWorks\, a SaaS organization whose mission is to lower the risk and cost of IT infrastructure transformation.
