SUMMARY:Business Technology Leadership for Digital Transformation
DESCRIPTION:This Webinar will address the leadership challenges that CIOs and CTOs face as key participants in the digital transformation of small\, medium and large enterprises. It will focus upon the leadership skills and competencies necessary to launch and manage successful transformation programs. It will focus on the hard skills\, the soft skills and the organizational structures necessary to transform business processes and whole business models. It will challenge many of the assumptions the industry has made about what CIOs and CTOs should be\, as well as the best practices that have become obsolete in the last five years. \nThe Webinar will focus on how CIOs and CTOs can avoid extinction with emerging technologies and whole new governance models. It will focus on what constitutes digital transformation\, and how CIOs and CTOs can deliver business value well beyond technology infrastructure. It will focus on the skills and competencies CIOs and CTOs must master to become true C-suite executives\, as well as the “emotional” challenges they must overcome. The Webinar will ultimately offer a playbook for successful digital transformation. \nStephen J. Andriole’s career has focused on the development\, application and management of information technology and analytical methodology to problems in government and industry: Dr. Andriole has addressed them from academia\, government\, his own consulting companies\, a global insurance and financial services company\, from the perspective of a public venture operating company\, a private equity venture capitalist and an Angel investor. Digital transformation and the adoption of emerging technology is the focus of his current teaching\, research and consulting. \nCost\nFREE to all SIM NJ Members. \nRegistration\nPlease register (below) for this Webinar.\nPlease note that this is a Member Only event.

Certainly not the same old way? Emotions and story are critical to learning\, reframing and changing behavior. We build a communication framework to practically learn to develop deeper empathic understanding first\, then tell stories that Nudge others to opt in. The impact on relationships and business results is big. Many providers are streamlining their services\, reducing prices\, and improving quality by taking advantage of cloud-based service models\, service-oriented architectures\, machine learning\, big data and artificial intelligence. \nThe next Princeton CIO Roundtable will give you the chance to talk openly and candidly with your peers about Cyber-Security: the challenges\, the risks\, the work underway\, and tactics/solutions you could use in your organizations. We’ll talk about how to select the right solutions and achieve the right blend for your company. \nOur discussion will be led by one of our regular Princeton CIO Roundtable attendees\, Chris Shull\, the CISO and DPO of the Weichert Companies\, Salem Medical Center\, and Xpand. Earlier in his career he was in an IT leadership role at Drexel University. Chris has extensive experience integrating strategy\, technology and operations to mitigate cyber-security risk for several organizations. Indeed\, his experience was recognized last month when he was named a Fellow in Information Privacy by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) – congratulations\, Chris![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″ shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_link_target=”_self” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column_text]The small print:[/vc_column_text] \n\nThis event is sponsored by CIO’s and SIM NJ IT executives as an opportunity to network and establish relationships with your peers. And many of the models for transformation are native Tech firms that have built competitive differentiation largely on the basis of highly customized IT capabilities. In this session\, we’ll discuss whether the time has come for CIOs to start rethinking how custom IT can drive the business\, how should we think about Digital in the context of system of record rationalization\, standardization\, and simplification\, what capabilities are available to scale robustly\, and what are the learnings across different industries. \nThe next Princeton CIO Roundtable Breakfast will give you the chance to talk openly and candidly with your peers about Digital Strategy: the opportunities\, the challenges\, the risks\, the work underway\, and the strategies under consideration in your organizations. \nOur discussion will be led by one of our regular Princeton CIO Roundtable attendees\, Chris Knerr\, CEO of Mareana. But paper and complex legal agreements are cumbersome\, difficult to transfer and can be hard to track. One solution would be to switch to a digital system along the lines of Bitcoin but linked to an asset. The process of converting the rights to the asset into a digital token on a blockchain is called Tokenization. \nAt our October meeting\, James Canterbury of EY’s Advisory Practice will discuss his experiences with Blockchain Tokenization. He has 14 years of experience helping biopharma companies find innovative answers to the challenges created by operating in a highly regulated industry. Before blockchain he primarily managed projects that span from interpreting FDA regulations to privacy & security to financial controls James holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from Penn State University and is a Certified Information Systems Auditor.
