But paper and complex legal agreements are cumbersome\, difficult to transfer and can be hard to track. One solution would be to switch to a digital system along the lines of Bitcoin but linked to an asset. The process of converting the rights to the asset into a digital token on a blockchain is called Tokenization. \nAt our October meeting\, James Canterbury of EY’s Advisory Practice will discuss his experiences with Blockchain Tokenization. It will be an interesting discussion on how to gain the advantages of blockchain while keeping the characteristics of the asset.[/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=”About the Speaker” font_container=”tag:h2|text_align:left|color:%23005b94″ use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text]James Canterbury is a Principal working with EY’s Advisory practice where he is part of the global blockchain team\, and a leader within Risk Advisory focused on Life Sciences regulatory quality and compliance. He helps his clients understand new technologies and how they might be applied to solve real-world problems. Specifically for blockchain he works to educate clients on the new technology and designs solutions to capitalize on the benefits of a blockchain network when designing efficient\, transparent\, and trusted solutions. He has 14 years of experience helping biopharma companies find innovative answers to the challenges created by operating in a highly regulated industry. Before blockchain he primarily managed projects that span from interpreting FDA regulations to privacy & security to financial controls James holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from Penn State University and is a Certified Information Systems Auditor. He currently sits on the board of the NJ chapter of ISPE\, is part of ISPE’s GAMP Americas steering committee\, and leads the GAMP blockchain special interest group.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″ shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_link_target=”_self” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_custom_heading text=”Time/Schedule” font_container=”tag:h2|text_align:left|color:%23005b94″ use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text]5:00 – 6:15P – Networking\n6:15 – 6:45P – Dinner\n6:45 – 7:00P – Chapter Business\n7:00 – 8:00P – Presentation\n8:00 – 8:30P – Networking\n8:30 – 9:00P – Members In Transition[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″ shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_link_target=”_self” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_custom_heading text=”Cost” font_container=”tag:h2|text_align:left|color:%23005b94″ use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text]SIM NJ Members $70.00\, non-member guests $100.00.
