Men who have encouraged us\, mentored or sponsored us\, given us good advice\, and maybe even “looked out” for us when in a crowd of men from a corporate culture we didn’t agree with. Eva has spent enough time speaking to men about how they support women on their team and in their organizations to know that there are still many men who are unsure of where to start and how to support women and their advancement. Regardless of the reason behind these men’s insecurities or concerns\, and how their actions and words make us (as women or underrepresented) feel\, Eva has chosen to meet them where they are\, and invite them to take their first steps to becoming allies. For those who are comfortable as allies\, she offers ideas of how they can further improve as advocates of women\, and as role models to other men. She will be sharing her research\, findings\, and methodology with you\, and will talk about how we can identify allies and advocates at work\, and discuss what we can do when we come across the men who are more difficult to deal with. \nEva is always looking for new ways to invite men to the conversation\, to share positive stories and examples of how they are already supporting women\, and making more of them comfortable doing so. There is no judgement\, shame or blame in her approach. Everyone has their own experiences and connections\, and you are all gateways to one or more men at work. Reaching equality and inclusion at work is not women’s or underrepresented groups’ responsibility alone\, nor is it HR’s or the Chief Diversity Officer’s\, but everyone’s. Getting everyone to understand how and what a difference they can make for one or more women and for the culture in their part of the organization is key to success. \n \nEva Helén is the founder and CEO of EQ Inspiration. Engaging men in the conversation of gender equality and women’s advancement. She’s the author of “Women in Tech\, a Book for Guys.” Eva is on Vasion’s Board of Directors. A successful entrepreneur\, in 2000 Eva co-founded and ran Sanbolic\, an enterprise software company\, acquired by Citrix in 2015. Prior\, Eva co-founded Number One GM\, acquired by Autodesk in 1999. Eva was born in Sweden and holds an MBA from the University of Stockholm. She relocated to Silicon Valley in the mid-’90s. As a speaker\, coach\, and mentor to men and women in tech\, Eva stresses the importance of individual contribution to build a culture of inclusion and success. \n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” column_margin=”default” column_direction=”default” column_direction_tablet=”default” column_direction_phone=”default” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” row_border_radius=”none” row_border_radius_applies=”bg” overlay_strength=”0.3″ gradient_direction=”left_to_right” shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_tablet=”inherit” column_padding_phone=”inherit” column_padding_position=”all” column_element_spacing=”default” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” column_link_target=”_self” gradient_direction=”left_to_right” overlay_strength=”0.3″ width=”1/1″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” bg_image_animation=”none” border_type=”simple” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_custom_heading text=”Registration” font_container=”tag:h2|text_align:left|color:%23005b94″ use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text]Please Register here! Once you register\, you will receive the webinar access information directly from Zoom. [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” column_margin=”default” column_direction=”default” column_direction_tablet=”default” column_direction_phone=”default” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” row_border_radius=”none” row_border_radius_applies=”bg” overlay_strength=”0.3″ gradient_direction=”left_to_right” shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_tablet=”inherit” column_padding_phone=”inherit” column_padding_position=”all” column_element_spacing=”default” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” column_link_target=”_self” gradient_direction=”left_to_right” overlay_strength=”0.3″ width=”1/1″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” bg_image_animation=”none” border_type=”simple” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_custom_heading text=”Cost: Free to NJ SIM Members!” font_container=”tag:h2|text_align:left|color:%23005b94″ use_theme_fonts=”yes”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
