Empowering people to use AI responsibly is what drives Tyler Bryk in his role as Head of Artificial Intelligence at PTC Therapeutics, Inc. Tyler joined PTC in 2018, after attending graduate school in the field of Applied Artificial Intelligence at Stevens Institute of Technology. His time at Stevens prepared him for his role at PTC, where he founded and currently leads the AI & Machine Learning department. Through Tyler’s vision, the PTC AI & ML team strives to create innovative AI solutions that aid in delivering best in-class biotech, with a core focus being on AI-enhanced drug discovery, and clinical trial optimization. Throughout his journey at PTC, Tyler has paved the way for others aspiring to be leaders in the AI space. He has played a part in numerous initiatives, including his most recent endeavor of creating PTC’s Responsible AI Committee, which brought together a group of cross-functional executives to discuss and promote the ethical use of AI. Tyler also sits on BioNJ’s AI & Digital Health committee and has served as a trusted advisor to various subgroups of NJ Governor Phil Murphy’s AI Task Force.

Dr. Robert Spangler currently serves as the CISO of the NJ State Bar Association, is the Co-Chair of the NJSBA’s AI Taskforce and a member of the New Jersey Supreme Court’s Committee on Artificial Intelligence. He holds a Doctorate is in Business Administration and recently completed his Cybersecurity Certification from MIT.

Chris is a Senior Financial Services Executive with expertise in managing risk from digital asset activities in traditional financial institutions and crypto-native businesses. His expertise spans Operational Risk, Enterprise Risk, Compliance, Data Governance, Automation, Change Management, Data Privacy, Data Protection, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Platform and Systems Development. Chris also holds his JD from the University of Virginia and is completing his master’s degree at the University of Oxford in Practical Ethics, focused on AI and Data Ethics.
