As Business Intelligence (BI) and Analytics become more entrenched within organizations, it is imperative that organizations develop a well-conceived BI/Analytics strategy to fit their culture. Jay Liebowitz, visiting professor of Computer and Decisions Sciences at Seton Hall University, has conducted research on how organizations have crafted a successful BI/Analytics strategy for their organization. He will describe a framework that should aid organizations in developing their enterprise-wide BI/Analytics strategy and lead a roundtable discussion on what BI and Analytics strategies have worked for NJ SIM members.
Before joining Seton Hall University, Dr. Liebowitz taught decision science at major universities, including Johns Hopkins University and the University of Maryland, and was chair of Artificial Intelligence at the U.S. Army War College. Dr. Liebowitz was the first Knowledge Management Officer at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. He is one of the top knowledge management researchers/practitioners worldwide and has published over 45 books and a myriad of journal articles on knowledge management, analytics, financial literacy, intelligent systems, and IT management.
